I was driving when a wiper rubber unhooked from an arm and it created a nice little arc in bottom middle of my windscreen. It is faint but you can see it in the photo below. Is there anyway I can reduce it’s impact or fix it? Glass polishing??

Yep I had the same thing happen. I hate replacing wiper blades. Can’t they ever make it simple?????

By the way I’d be interested if it could be repaired besides getting a whole new windshield. :)

ok weird thing I managed to get the same problem solved but mine was slighly less predominate . I used bicarbonate of soda, lemon and water put it on and then clean it and buffer it. Weird i know but it worked for me .

So far I’ve been told to use either RainX to coat the scratch or brasso and steel wool to polish it out. Your bicarb soda & lemon, starbucksrocks, also sounds interesting.

Eastwood http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=948&itemType=CATEGORY&iMainCat=706&iSubCat=948 sells a kit for doing this. Don’t know how well it works, but the company has been supplying stuff for old car nuts for many years.
