I hope there aren’t too many casualties from this.
They say that there won’t be any fuel shortages, but Bath is nearly dry. There isn’t really any panic buying either – the petrol stations all have big signs by the entrances saying “NO FUEL – SHOP OPEN”. Maybe they just didn’t carry much. I’d been running my car down (as I do once every so often) and I was pretty dry – only a few litres left, right into the red. I eventually got some fuel at Sainsbury’s, but they’d run out of standard unleaded and only had super unleaded – fine with me. I got all the fuel I needed.
Looks like there’s going to be a major shortage for a while in my area, and a big price hike. I don’t know how much more people can afford.
