Now looking to the future – what will be the next make/model that you may buy? Will it be a new or used car? Are you going to buy a hybrid or some type of alternative fuel vehicle if possible?

Looking at getting a Chevy Equinox or an Impala. I also test drove a new Dodge Caliper, the Caliper is going to be a big seller. The RT and SRT will sell really well. The SRT will have 300 hp.

When my car dies, I’m going to probably get another AMC.

If my car gets totalled, I’ll gust get another 10-15 year old Escort. I dislike all the available new cars and have for several years now.

Probably something second-hand, because I won’t be able to afford a new car.

I want something that doesn’t interfere with the driving. Too many cars now have a damped clutch response, damped throttle response, messing with the steering sensitivity… It annoys the hell out of me!

The Calibur SRT-4 is tempting, but I think it will be too high for what I like to do, plus it will probably torque steer like crazy, but 300 hp in a 4 banger is tempting.

I kind of like the GTO, and the Mitshu EVO, but a used M-3 is also a good idea (can’t afford a new M-3).

I think I am going to wait and see what the MazdaSpeed 3 can do before I even think about getting rid of the SVT.

    I’d love a Lotus Exige.

That’s a car I could realistically own someday, on the very limit of what I could probably starve myself to afford.

Hopefully I won’t need to purchase a driver for a while. If I do purchase anything it will be a project car.

I’m looking forward to seeing the SRT, it will definitely be interesting. I’ve heard about problems with some newer Impalas, GTO Man can probably tell you more as he currently owns one.

I’m not looking at anything right now. If the Z got totaled, I’d buy another one ASAP. thumbsup.gif

From what I read about the new Impala SS is that it is front wheel drive, and it does have a V-8 but from the way it sounds, its like they just shoved it in and put it on the market, no turning, no suspension adjustments, ect.

Actually, around my house I am car “poor”. I have my hands full keeping the wife’s Toyota Camry Running, my son’s VW Jetta running, and my daughter will be driving in a year or two.

I currently drive a Ford Escape that is “almost” paid for.

If I could trade for myself right now, I would probably buy the Saturn Vue V6 (motors from Honda) or for much more money, the 2WD version of the Honda Pilot.

I have also found myself fantasizing about the 2003 or 2004 Ford Thunderbird to park alongside the Mustang.

Right now I technically own a 2001 Focus 2 door hatch (my brother has it now but it is in my name until he pays it off) and my 2004 SVT Focus 5 door, and soon hopefully I’ll be the part owner of a Chevy Blazer (my girl is strangly attached to that truck despite its horrible gas milage).

Doesn’t have anything to do with your avatar, right? Drogar-Laugh(LBG).gif
