There is a new movie coming out in July 2006 called “Who killed the electric car”. The movie discusses how a viable electirc GM EV1 and a Honda RAV4 were killed by the oil and auto industry. Check out the website:

Who wouldn’t want a car you could plug in at your home that would travel 120 miles on one charge and go highway speeds.
It just just goes to show that the only thing that matters is making money!

If you read thw Web encyclopedia, it blames the government. Seems the EV1 didn’t meet the new side impact requirments (which is because of SUV’s by the way).
