I am starting to get really antsy about next year’s car events, so I started looking at what is coming our way, and I discovered that the Spring Jefferson Show is only three months away! Let’s all hope for good weather this year (dry, plenty of sunshine, and maybe some warmer temps than in years past). Just a short three weeks after Spring Jefferson, we will have the Wisconsin Dells Automotion show! Yippee

If the end of 2006 was any indication, we can probably expect a warmer spring than we have usually had. Hopefully this will make Spring Jefferson even more fun since we won’t be freezing or cold! Also you actually don’t have to wait all the way until Spring Jefferson, there will be one QSL cruise night the week before!

Is Skip’s an indoor meet? THat might be a good one to go to.

I am also looking forward to the car events this year. Winter can go away anytime now.

There are several buildings. If the weather is good, there are also some outside venders. Not as big as a Summer show and swap, but it’s an excuse to get out and look at car parts and dream of warm weather coming soon. sunny.gif

I also think Skips would be a nice break from the winter, I’m going to consider going down to it. Also we’ve got a countdown on the homepage until the next show.. in case you want up-to-the-minute updates!

As a teaser or appetizer until the usual car events kick off, there is that U.
    S. Marshal’s auction this coming Saturday in Madison. GTO Man posted about this and there is a 1967 Mustang Fastback GTA (retail, resale, arrest me red!) being auctioned off, along with a couple of other potential collector cars (Buick Grand National).

I’m going to try and make it to this, as well as a trip to Colin’s Classic Auto in Milwaukee.

It’s like the AACA show there just earlier.

Looks like another cold day for the auction Saturday.

If you have some extra time that day, you will be about half an hour away from Valenti in Racine. Follow the freeway South toward Chicago and exit at Seven Mile Road. Valenti is about three blocks North of the exit so you need to make a U turn after you exit to get back to it. If you go there on a weekend, expect lots of traffic going to Seven Mile Fair.

    What’s in Valenti, Steve?

Valenti is another classic car dealership.

Went to the auction. It is hard to give the cars a thorough look, not much room and too cold. Mustang and ’72 Grand Prix needed a complete restoration. ’66 Grand Prix and ’86 Grand National were in good shape. THey need an indoor heated area for an auction this time of the year.

I love that corvette on the roof:

I’m definitely going to stop there if I go to Colin’s!

I agree with GTO Man about the auction, I also went and it was plenty cold. I got some videos and pics from it that I’ll upload later for everyone who didn’t go
