What year is this truck? – Wisconsin Collector Car

This past Friday I went to a friends place and helped do some prairie burns, and I ran into this old truck sitting next to a barn. Looks like it has been sitting there for at least 30 years.

So what year of Ford is it?

If I am not mistaken, I believe that this is a 1953.

This particular model year is pretty popular with the streed rod crowd. I have seen several that have had the top chopped, the body lowered, and they turn out extremely nice.

Looks like a 48-50 according to this site. http://www.ford-trucks.com/pictorial/1948.html 53 has a different grill and body.
