Have any of you guys ever hear of a show up in the Green Bay area called “Precious Metals Car Show”? It’s part of Allouezfest that has been going on for quite a few years (at least 15-20). I noticed that it was not listed on the calender. I know back when I annually showed my Cutlass (early to mid 90’s) this show would bring ~600-700 cars. I have heard it has slowed down some in recent years but when I was briefly there in ’06 there was still a decent amount of cars present.

P.S. I just found a link and seeing I can’t post links quite yet I will copy/paste the text for those interested.
Quote:ALLOUEZ — Green Isle Park transforms itself into an outdoor showplace for all things automotive on Sunday, as the 22nd annual AllouezFest Precious Metals car show and swap meet cruises in to town.Festival organizer Paul Liegeois said the event usually draws around 15,000 people, with 300 to 500 cars on display.
It’s one of two main fundraisers for the Allouez Optimists. The group took in $5,000 last year for local youth causes.
“The weather can be a boom or a bust for us,” Liegeois said. “The more we make, the more youth causes we can support. In a bad year, we regret we can’t accommodate all of the requests we get.”
Fortunately, Sunday’s weather forecast is calling for sunshine, and the Optimists, ever living up to their name, are remaining optimistic.
Some of the causes that benefit from the event include the Allouez soccer and baseball programs, Miracle League, Special Olympics, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, all schools in Allouez, the Big Event for Little Kids, the Allouez Parks Department and the Allouez Optimist Park playground.
Vehicle registration coordinator Nick Lanser said the Precious Metals show draws everything from antique cars like Model As and 1930s street rods to year-old Toyotas decked out with custom details — and everything between.
But in the last few years, they’ve been seeing quite a few new cars — one- and two-year-old Hondas and Toyotas with fancy exhaust systems and other details that make them stand out. And don’t forget the army vehicles.
“They aren’t collector cars, but it’s a whole other group of people that are going to car shows,” Lanser said.
Doors open to the public at 10 a.m., with no admission fee for spectators.
Trophies will be awarded in many categories at 4 p.m.
Vendors and those with cars to show may show up as early as 7 a.m. Early registration for cars is $5, and $10 at the door. The fee for vendors is $15.
Events include games for kids, a trout tank, two large inflatables for kids to bounce on, the swap meet for car enthusiasts, food and beverages, music and more.
