Did anyone venture out tonight for fireworks? I know there were plenty see around the area, we went to DeForest for the first time in years. I’ll admit I’m very spoiled with the program Madison International Speedway puts on every year as it outshines everyone around, including Rhythm & Booms. We waited until 9:30 for the fireworks to start tonight only to be walking to the car less than 15 minutes later.

If you get a chance, give MIS a try. The first date was rained out this year, but I know they have rescheduled for later in the year.

I thought the fireworks at MIS after the Kenseth race were great.

YES! and that’s just a fraction of what they normally do!

Watched the fireworks over the ocean at Santa Barbara, CA. The city is wonderful, but the fireworks were disappointing. If anyone is ever in CA on July 4th (or Labor Day), be sure to take in the fireworks extravaganza at South Lake Tahoe. They really know how to put on a show!

I watched the ones here at Blackhawk. They weren’t too impressive this year I thought. It seems that they didn’t light off nearly as many as in past years. Did anyone go to Rhythm and Booms?

I didn’t hit up any fireworks spectacles this year. It was nice to have the 4th off, I got caught up on stuff arond the house and played with my dog. Later in the day I went to the video store and rented some movies.

Last Saturday night a friend had a burning party, we got to watch fireworks from Cross Plains, Barneveld, and Hollandale! Sometimes living in the rolling hills of Blue Mounds has its advantages
