Specific Ratings (A-F):
Arrival/Departure (easy to find, easy to leave?) – A ~ Nice trip out this morning, well marked.
Parking Location – B ~ A bit confusing at first as I had to tell them twice we wanted to park as a club, but there was plenty of parking for all. Closing one of the major streets in that little town really helped!
Class Organization – B ~ I think everyone was parked where they should be.
Trophies & Prizes – B ~ Your typical door prizes and trophies. I was shocked to win 1st in my class, there were over 30 cars in it!
Food – B ~ I didn’t buy anything there as I heard the prices were high. This is one of the great shows you can go to any of the many local bars to get a good lunch. I found brats advertised for FREE on the street over. They weren’t really free as there were looking for donations for some type of organization. We did give them $5/3, they were happy.
Entertainment – D ~ The announcer from 3D, or whatever it’s called is annoying, and seems to enjoy hearing herself talk. I find her style of entertainment not my style and heard complaints from many around me today. The selection of music played was different (when she wasn’t talking during the songs, or stopping the music half way through)
Judging – B ~ They did a nice job and asked for extra judges this year. I did like the award presentation being at 2 p.m.!
Dash Plaque – B ~ Your typical
Variety of Cars – B ~ It’s nice to see new ones in other areas.
Bathrooms – D ~ I only found 1 porta potty around the show and was told there were others in the park (which was not very close to the cars). We walked across the street to the gas station and found what we needed. I would suggest more, I can’t imagine the businesses appreciate everyone coming in for one reason.
Weather – A ~ PERFECT!!! It’s usually so hot for this show, but was beautiful today!
Trophy Presentation Timing – A ~ Very close to the time they quoted.
Entry Fee – B ~ $10, your typical fee.
Overall Rating: B ~ This show continues to grow and get better each year. I know they are looking for suggestions to which I would add breaking up some of the larger classes (especially the Mustang class) and dropping some of the classes they don’t have participants in. I would also like to see new entertainment, but someone must like what they had today as she’s been there for years now.

Arrival/Departure (easy to find, easy to leave?) – A I really enjoy driving the back roads early in the morning, so my drive down 73 was extremely pleasant.
Parking Location – A Very well done, as I like to park with other Mustangs and I am certain this makes it easier for the judges
Class Organization – D The Mustang Class was way too large with too many cars, especially the new, limited production cars such as the Shelby GT500, Rousch cars, GT/California Specials cars, etc
Trophies & Prizes – A There seemed to be plenty of doors prizes and the trophies were nice also
Food – B I wandered into the Red Baron and had one of the “universes’ best hamburgers” Actually not a bad burger
Entertainment – B, I am OK with this DJ. Maybe I have been to too many shows where she has been hired to do the music. The 3D Sound company does alot of the shows now.
Judging – B Well done, on time, and very professional
Dash Plaque – C Kind of generic and plain
Variety of Cars – B Many cars that I haven’t seen at other shows
Bathrooms – D They definitely need to add more on the street corners
Weather – A Perfect
Trophy Presentation Timing – A Right on time and very well done

Overall Rating:put overall rating hereB This show is growing and is experiencing “growing pains”, but continues to be one of my favorites. Congrats to Circletrack on her win and also to John Christianson for his Best of Show/Ford win.

And too many mustangs.. They need more catagories for the Mustangs..

I was a judge on Modified Trucks class..lots of “old” but good looking trucks…

a class for fbody’s (Camaro/Firebird) would have been nice as well, there were enough there to justify having their own class just like the Mustangs have their own class (they are both pony cars). Instead the guys having late model fbody’s had to choose among 3 different classes that they could logically fit it. This led to some of the similar cars entering different classes because nobody knew what class to enter in. dontknow.gif

I agree with Blue Thunder, they could also break up the Stang class into 1964-1980 and then 1980 to present. The same could be said about the fbody class, if they ever decide to create an fbody class that is.

@Marshall, I hope they will adjust the classes a bit for next year. I remember hearing the guy say that they usually shift around at least one class each year

Sounds like a great project and you have a lot of history with it as well! Do you often go to shows?

Great! There are so many to choose from. If you can’t make it to shows, cruise nights during the week are also good alternatives. They’re not quite so much of a time commitment and there are quite a few of them around
