According to the Hot Rod Power Tour website the last leg from Rochester, MN to Madison will start at 9AM (drivers meeting at 9AM) this Friday June the 13th and they will take highway 14.

Their ETA into Virquoa, WI will be at about 11:30-12:00.

    ETA into Richland Center 12:15-12:45.

ETA past QSL 2:15-3:00 (I’m betting some will stop for lunch prior to this).

And most should roll into the Alliant Energy Center between 2:45-4PM (it is about a 4.5 trip via this route not stopping).

I’m planning on heading to QSL between 10:15-10:30 and will be driving up to Richland Center (about a 1.25 hour trip) starting at about 10:30-10:45 from QSL. Push, pull or drive your ride into QSL and join the Madison Crew who will track down the Tour and will enjoy the ride back into Madison with the rest of the predicted 2500 cars (be part of the mob).

Once we arrive in Richland Center we should have some time to grab something to eat and find a good place to park to watch the cars roll on by.

There are a few Shops on the way in WI that are offering their support to help out Power Tour Folks:

Including LilWillie (recent poster here); located in Mazomanie.

If you cannot make it out try to hit up East Wash between 7-9PM to park and watch the 1000’s of cars cruising the strip.

Over the next week the Long Haulers will post their photos to this post here:

Maybe I shouldn’t “tip my hand” at this point, but I would suggest that the Arby’s (where the BMC Mustang Club holds Mustang Mustangs) is about one of the best vantage spots on East Wash for watching traffic.

Yup, if there are issues our shop is going to help out the long haulers and whoever else has a problem.

There are also a few others. Coon Valley, Richland Center are spots for help.

We will be setting up to watch them come threw Mazomanie. I figure we will park the toys there around Noon and then when we get a call from a friend in Center we will know when to walk over to watch. After a few hours of watching we are going to follow the mob into Madison and then head to East Washington Ave that night.

Should be fun, wave if you see me, holler if you need help.

DDHemi and I are going to drive from my house in Blue Mounds up to Richland Center, and cruise 14 back to Madison from there. With gasprices what they are, we cut the majority of our trip out.

Sounds like a good time. I hope I am able to work it out with the garbage going on at work. It seems we have gotten to the point where we have to maximize the ability to enjoy the hobby when the weather cooperates and we have the time.

considering the weather we have been hit with, GTO Man, you nailed it with that thought. Looks like a full week of bad weather coming up also.

What time and can I hook up with you two?

How is the never ending rain going to affect this? It seems impossible to avoid the last week. :(

I plan on meeting you there. I just finished wiping down the Maxima (what’s the point with all of this rain. It will be dirty within a block.)

How many others will join us?

Sounds good. I’ll be there between 10:15-10:30.

I posted the same post on 4 other car boards. Lots of Views but no real responses.

I will try to make it but a project may keep me from going. I have to work in the morning, it just depends how long.

They are going to have fun up there, even the detour is expected to be closed.
