And there were not one but two 2008 orange dodge challengers there.

Lots of cars coming and going. Great night to enjoy cars and chatting with fellow enthusiast

    Rate The Cruise Night:
Accessibility (easy to get to): A
Parking Location: B – like GTO Man said they ran out of room
Entertainment: A – good music and not too loud
    Food: B
Prizes: A – plaque as usual
    Timing (day/hours): A
Variety of Cars (week-to-week): A++!! As mentioned a Ford GT and TWO brand new 2008 Dodge Challengers. I’ve never seen one of these before in person so that was a great treat. It’s a truly fantastic car that lives up to its muscle car heritage. Last I heard I think the car count was over 170.

    Overall Rating: A

Last Weeks QSL cruise in was sponsored by the site above. If you check out their site you can see they will be at QSL again and I just noticed that Zimbrick is going to host a Volkswagen show again.

The above site I guess is going to be taping some of their footage at some of the local shows. The show is like Overhaulen’ where they take a car and fix it up.

Also, during this cruise-in QSL announced that on the 31st of July they will have a car show with 7 classes and the suggested donation to enter the car show is 25 bucks due the door prizes they are planning on giving out.

$25?!!! Are you kidding?!! The Hot Rod Power Tour was $25 and there is no way QSL rates anywhere near that quality of a show. You cannot tell me that QSL had to buy the door prizes. it is just a milk the people for some money thing.

July 31st is a Thursday night. I am guessing instead of just parking and visiting that some type of participant judging will take place in the 7 classes?

I don’t have any details on this, but at first brush, $25 does seem steep for even a Saturday or Sunday all day show with lots of nice door prizes.

The 25 is a “suggested” donation. You can also drive in with a big jar of change (I bet they would love that).

Thank you for clearing that up Ryan.

It is becoming obvious (not to toot my own horn) that I provided much at QSL that is now missing.

I would never had “run out of room” at 170 cars. I had over 220 cars on that lot on one day. The Good Guys week last year I had over 180 and I had room.

I was on this forum and a few others thanking everyone every week and letting people know what was happening. Where is that appreciation now?

Also I would have informed everyone about this upcoming day by saying
“This is a show for charity. The entrance fee will be a donation to (name of charity) and a donation of $25 is appreciated but not expected.”

While I know that you Ryan and Andrew are really trying to help promote the QSL cruise night, some help from their end would be nice. It would help alleviate any confusion of going thru a second party to inform.

OK, so now I am totally confused icon_scratch.gif

The “suggested” donation of $25 per car – is this going to a charitable organization and if so, which one?

It looks they are still adding stuff to the new calendar on QSL website.
