    I am back to discussing a potential purchase with Don Miller.

    It started first thing this morning when I got an email from their Internet Sales Manager who advised me that their 4th and final 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 is now available at 2K over sticker, making the car about $45K plus sales tax. (Apparently, the lucky dog who was gonna get this one backed out at last moment). I passed on this one.

    I am leaning towards special ordering the 2009 Challenger R/T with the smaller (4.7L) hemi, automatic transmission, in TorRed, black leather interior, which will be about $10K cheaper than the 08. Don Miller is telling me that they will guarantee delivery of an 09 no earlier than Nov 08 or later than Mar 09. They are asking for a $1K nonrefundable deposit to order the car.

    If you’re interested, the brochures for the 09 Challenger are now available at Dodge dealers across the US.

    The automatic probably and most likely has a quicker E/T than the manual.

    It was in the “old days”. That is why most true hemi Mopars came as autos

    Fantastic Marshall glad to hear it! After seeing those two beauties up close the other week I can tell this car is a true classic winner and if you get one I’m sure you will really really enjoy it! icon_punk.gif
