I see to keep services as they are will require a 10% tax increase. That is too much, start cutting, everything has gone up so much the last thing people can afford is a tax increase of that size.
I see the Mayor told each department to cut their budget by 5%, at least that is a start, until the city council starts their budget deliberations.

Raising our already high taxes isn’t a good idea. I think more proper management is one way to help cut costs. For instance, I believe it was the first or second big snow we had this winter and they drained all of our supplies of salt and sand for the streets – management of something like this would result in more efficient and less costly use
