I’m posting, asking this because a friend/business was asking my advice on doing a cruise night injunction with another event that would be going that night near the business they own. Kind of a Gallery or Art night with a cruise night tagged on to get people down to the area to walk around and see the businesses. At first they talked about a car show, I explained the differences and expectations between a show and a cruise night. They then explained it would not be a weekly event but once or twice a summer and it will be on the same night as another very popular cruise night only a mile away.
So I am asking those of you here. How much of a issue do you think that could be? What kind of pitfalls is this person getting into trying to basically compete with another cruise night that in my opinion has a better facility and entertainment value then what they want to do. Personally, I think they won’t pull many people in since the other cruise night is right there and established. On the other hand, people might want a change of pace.
I know this is a very vague post but I’d rather keep it this way right now. Sorry to be so vague, if it keeps responses to zero, I understand.
Thanks
