I currently own a 1986 monte carlo ss and a 1997 camaro ss 6speed, t-top car. Both are just avarage cars with over 120k on both. Due to economic conditions one must go. I had planned on keeping both cars forever, but need advice as to which car would be the better investment to keep. thanks

probably the Camaro would be a more collectible piece, if at all. History has shown us that outside of the Lowrider community, the Monte isn’t remembered for much. And a later (newer?) version was too mass-produced to be collectible.

IMO, I would sell the camaro. Both cars are mass production vehicles, but obviously the camaro has the speed but the Monte has the looks.

If you’re thinking of selling the Monte Carlo, PM me.

Are they really costing that much to keep? I would keep both and weather the storm. It’s like those folks who say they won’t buy anything because the economy is bad…well, if you don’t buy stuff, the economy WILL be bad.

Both nice cars but if I had a choice the Camaro SS would be it.

Keep which ever one has the most sentimental value to you.
