We need the help of all of you that have attended our show in the past. As you know we are a participant judged show, with random ballots being given out. In our opinion this method keeps the judging as fair as possible. And this method has worked well for us for the last 4 or 5 years. It seems that the cars that are winning, are the ones that should on that given day. But, we would like to assemble a team of judges, instead of using the participants. We feel this would make our show even better. Our problem is finding enough people from out of town that are qualified to judge, and who will show up the day of the show. We have considered using one of the many car clubs in southern Wisconsin and the surrounding area to judge the show. But, even though we have some fantastic clubs to choose from, and the people in those clubs are really nice people, not all of them are qualified to judge a show. If the judges don’t do their job, or if they don’t know what they are doing the show will suffer.(NOT GOOD)
Our goal is to make this one of the best shows of the year! And for all of you to enjoy being at the show. So do we leave it participant judged, or can you help us find the right people for the job? Your opinions mean a great deal to us, because without you there would be no show.

In my opinion, your show has become one of the best ones to attend…. participant judging has worked for you, but it seems the same people from the area seem to win most years, one of the problems with participant judging. I would love to see your show judged, but given the number of cars you get, you will need quite a group of people to handle the job. When the Road Apples held their show last year, our club did the judging, we held meetings months in advance and went through the judging process from every angle so everyone was on the same page and every car was judged accurately and fairly. Meet with those interested in judging in advance, let them know your expectations and see if they can do the job.

You have a great show. I would vote for a judged show. Like has been said the problem is getting enough qualified judges for a show that large.

Are there any local clubs to Southern Wisconsin that would be interested in helping judge the show?
