I will not buy gasoline at BP stations again. What has happened in the gulf in inexcusable. These companies could care less about the environment, they will pay the little fines and move on. The people whose livelihood depends on clean water and shoreline take a backseat to their profits.

I’m surprised they haven’t come up with a solution yet – how many people do they have working on this problem?

What if you run out of gas in a small town, and all they have is a BP station? Will you then buy gas there?

Barneveld has only one gas station – BP.

Agreed, while I don’t like what BP has done… that’s the only station in many small towns.

Next week it will be Mobil, and soon we’ll walk because we have boycotted all the gas stations

How about a pool on how long it will be before BP is bought out?

BP faces another setback; oil slick threatens Fla.
BP encounters another setback in effort to contain the blowout; oil threatens Fla. beaches

How many tens of billions in damage has BP done now and in the future? How many businesses will be lost along with health effects? I haven’t bought BP gas since it happened and won’t in the future.

I don’t have much of a choice NOT to buy BP gas and also feel that not buying gas from them isn’t going to do any damage… they are far richer than you or I will ever imagine. I do wish this would get resolved quickly and do feel something should be done to punish them, but in the long run the consumers are the ones that will be punished in the form of everything that is being ruined, the eventual higher gas prices and so on.

I agree it probably will have zero effect but do it as a matter of principal. And in many cases it is the only choice there is for fuel. What may be worse than the oil in the long run is the dispersal agent they used.

“Of all the chemicals approved by the agency for use on oil spills, Corexit 9500 is among the most toxic to certain organisms, according to EPA tests. It also is among the least effective in breaking up the kind of oil that is prevalent in the area around the spill site, EPA tests concluded. Corexit 9500 was available in large quantities at the time of the accident, however, and was on the EPA’s list of approved dispersants.”

Sooooo you are going to punish all the local families and business owners for the oil spill now? Wow, genius. I’m wondering if you will boycott all the other products that come from bp pertoleum? And where was the government on this one? Here is something that these clowns should be involved in and they sat on their hands for weeks. If these companies were not being forced to drill in deeper waters they would not have the problems capping the leak. Use your heads and stop acting like pissed off teenagers.

Moparkid- My seagull tasted just fine. Little greasy but good.
