I think they should do whatever it takes to restore some reason to this fight. This is way bigger than about wages and benefits. Read your history, people.

I’d hate to think it came to a boycott of various supporters, because that isn’t going to do any good for our state’s economy. But in the big picture, it may be needed to reach Gov. Walker.

This bs of forcing political agendas is the same crap that DOT tried in pushing ex-military vehicles off the road. My truck was included in their sweep. It took me 3 years, defeating them in Appeals Court, and ultimately the passage of a new law, but my truck is now protected. Perhaps this issue will require similar efforts.

Absolutely, WHATEVER it takes. That’s my opinion.

I don’t think it’s right to boycott and hurt people who supported what they believe in. Boycotts are usually used against companies who engage in criminal or unethical conduct.

I believe a boycott to be unfortunate, but not wrong.

Well, there are those who consider Gov. Walker’s position to be unethical…

But in either case, those companies are led by some leader/s. The tactic (boycott) is used to get the attention of those responsible for the company’s behavior. It would be tragic if innocent workers at those companies were negatively impacted, no matter whether the boycott is called because the company leader/s acted criminally or simply as an attempt to pressure the company leader/s. In either case, it is unlikely the workers had the authority to make policy decisions.

Boycott Walker supporters? Then they better learn to get by without toilet paper (a lot of it made by Koch owned companies.) That Capitol building is gonna get stinkier than it is now with all those unwashed hippies banging their drums.

M & I bank on the square had a couple of hundred thousand withdrawn today. I would expect much more in the coming days.

Boycotting businesses could also hurt people working there who support your cause. I still say that boycotts should be used on businesses that engage in unethical or criminal behavior. Supporting an unpopular politician is not unethical or criminal, it is freedom of speech.

Just as a person has the right to support any politician they want, a person has the right to patronize any business they want. If a person wants to boycott a business for any reason, that is their business. And if people boycott one business another business will need to hire because of the increase in their business.

(that could be a record the number of times the word business was used in a short paragraph)

Maybe someone else can put it better.

    Do boycotts really solve anything??

If nothing else, it hurts another business, lord knows we don’t need that

GTOMan – That was a lot of use of the word business, check with Guinness on that. I go to businesses that treat me right. I don’t choose them by their politics. The businesses that are honest and ethical in their dealings with me is where I will go. Businesses who do not value their customers will not make it.

Some more shopping sites for you, or businesses to boycott because they supported Walker.
