New season debuted tonight. Wayne Carini was advising a collector, they went to the Milt Robson auction in Georgia. They ended up buying two cars at the auction, a 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Ram Air IV for $280,000, and a ZL1 Camaro for $380,000. Talk about the ultimate garage, Milt Robson has it.

I watched that episode also. Both cars were extraordinarily rare! Was that a record high price for a GTO Judge Ram Air IV???? As I recall, it was red convertible, right?

Yes a red convertible, beautiful car. It may of been a record for that year.

Wayne said it was one of 17 1970 Judge verts and only 13 are known to exist, which is not the case … in 1971 there were only 17 vert Judges made …. so hopefully he was talking about the 1971 …..

in 1970 there were only 37 vert Ram Air IV cars

I’m sure that is a record for any GTO ever sold.

The one cool thing about the sellers collection was that he had a 69, 70 and 71 convertibles Judges.

Before this show was the show What is My Car worth and they had a 1969 Ram Air IV GTO Judge that got to 72k but didn’t sell. The funny thing was when the guy took the car for a ride it was smoking and the interior shots were from a early 60’s Vet (They messed up the video footage).

One of those Judge convertibles went for over $600,000.
