Very interesting idea, kind of like a kit car.

I can be yours for only 15k … Ford sees a new market and jumps in … I would guess you would need to find a vin to rivet in?

That’s a very interesting question! How would you be able to register your finished project and put plates on the car?

Generally speaking, removing a VIN from a salvage or scrap car and transferring it to another vehicle is considered “rebodying” and is clearly illegal and criminal. I don’t know about registering a vehicle with hobbyist plates – do you actually need a VIN or registration number of some sort?

Anyone out there who knows the answer(s) to Amigo2k’s question?

I don’t know about how legal it is, but I know alot of the old jeep guys will buy and sell vin. tags with titles quite often, or just swap tags on their own vehicales, especially when swaping over to a fiberglass tube body, and it dosn’t seem to be any problems.

Dynacorn sells the bodies, aren’t they made in China?
