    Hey Everyone,

Well, I ended up buying the Wildcat out in Denver and I drove it home. It is wonderful, runs well, sounds great, looks good but needs a little attention here and there.

My question is two parts. I need a little work done in the trunk pan area and would like to work with a local body shop to start with. As I get more spending money, I will eventually do a more major job on the body itself. If you know of a good classic car body shop, I would love to here some suggestions.

The other question relates to mechanical stuff. While I am looking to do some of the work myself, my garage is not set up for major work, if needed. Do any of you have any experience with local mechanics that I can begin creating a relationship with? I figured, start making a list of things I want to work on over the winter so by the time Spring rolls around, I will be set.

    Thanks again Everyone!

    Mick

    Hello

As far as mechanical work I would recommend Capitol City Auto(276-8818). I have work on all my cars done there, from major to minor.

Dan at Capitol City is a good guy. Helwig Auto Clinic in Mt. Horeb is also very good ;)

As far as body work, Newton’s is probably the best resto shop around IMO. However, you’ll have to get on the waiting list.

In the Janesville area for body work I would recommend Budget Truck and Auto. They do a meticulous job.

I would also second Full Circle as we have had work done there and been very impressed.

I’ve also used Full Circle from time to time. Their work is excellent, it’s done on time, and on budget or under.

Although I haven’t used thier services yet; you might want to check out RPM. I have heard lot’s of good things about them also.
