An e-mail I recived tonight:

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I’m putting out an all-call for 1980s vehicles.

Gunna need everything: the tall, the small, long, little, wide, weird, luxury, miserly, big, bold, bland … everything.

I need to come up with at least 30 vehicles for full street scenes.

Looking at shooting the middle of next month (Sept.) I don’t know the total number of days, but, as you know, the more it sticks out, the less we can use it. The longer we can use it, the more we can pay you!

I expect that pick-up trucks will be the easiest to run down, but please, ask your friends, ask your neighbors. Ask your co-workers. Ask them to ask theirs. Prowl your streets! (‘Cuz I probably will be.)

There’s not a lot I can tell you about the film yet, but from what I understand, there should be lots of action!

Oh, one thing I can tell you — I also need a mid-’90s black limo. (The film spans some years, and the cars are part of how we show that.)
