Looking for something different I made my way to the Cheaters Car Show. The show was held at the Nite Owl Drive-in which is by the airport in Milwaukee. The show is meant for 1963 and older hot rods, done in the style you might see in the 1950’s. There were about 125 cars and 25 bikes)
The road that the Nite Owl is on, was blocked off and cars were parked 10 deep (bumper to bumper) and 3 wide (with enough room for one person to walk by at a time … watch out for those headers kids).
In the Nite Owl lot they are parked about 6 deep, bumper to bumper and again, enough room for one person a time to walk by. If you were parked in the middle you were stuck.
Then across the street there were about 30 cars parked on the road … again this was a neat show, because you could look at so many cars all done in the same type of style … I think the next time I fly out of Milwaukee I’m going to have to have a burger at the Nite Owl …
A vintage sign truck with a vintage sign on the roof!
The Honda guys are jealous …
and of course they had PBR!
