After 23 years of hosting the successful Mecum Des Moines Auction, the Iowa Office of Motor Vehicle Enforcement has elected to interpret sections of the Iowa Law and the Iowa Administrative Code in a manner that, unfortunately, prevents us from conducting a consignment auction in the manner in which we have for more than two decades.

Those sound like ridiculous rules for Mecum to have to go by. I don’t blame them for canceling.

Good move Dana Mecum….!!!

Don’t let them change their minds either when they realize how much revenue they’re losing…

Find a more appreciative venue.

Think of how much money is pumped into the Des Moines area during this auction … now it is gone … I they are going to have a Chicago auction this year now too …
