Madison Water Utility proposes 22 percent rate increase
The city just installed water meters that can be read from the street as they drive by. I believe they plan on billing monthly if homeowners want that. Now they want to raise the average bill by $4.05 per month, around $50/year.

And the progressives implying these tax hikes hide behind the curtain blaming the republicans.
It won’t end ever! People are smoking less, and driving electric cars. All the taxes they have put on gasoline and cigarettes over the years have supported a lot of things. Either the state will tax us more or your community will. With the state cutting all the school districts money it has to come from somewhere. So the schools are increasing their budgets to meet the needs. But it sure makes the state look good for not being the bad guy.
