Would you pay for a label???

Would you pay thousands extra to drive a Cadillac Escalade instead
of the GMC equivalent? It’s the same vehicle!

Another example is the Lincoln Navigator instead of the Ford Expedition.
    Same vehicle!

This is nothing new. About 3 decades ago the same thing was happening.

General Motors took the Chevy Cavalier, installed leather seats, put
a Cadillac name on it and called it the Cimarron.

Ford took the Granada, also known as the Mercury Monarch, installed
leather and stuck a Lincoln name on it. Voila, the Lincoln Versailles was born.

So, would you pay thousands more to have a luxury nameplate on your
vehicle, even though it’s the SAME vehicle?

EDIT…….. For those of you who know what the Cimarron is you
might find this fun to read………

I wouldn’t. The aftermarket offers so many products to customize your vehicle that you can have the benefits of the highline names without the pricing. The only type of vheicle I would consider paying extra for would be the limited edition models. The type that offer the power and performance with a limited yearly production of let’s say 5000 vehicles.

I wouldn’t either, the name isn’t worth all that extra cash!

I would not pay more just for the name. Just about anyone can buy any car these days with all the financing options. I think the poorest excuse I ever saw for a wannabe was the Cadillac Cimarron. Pathetic.

Yeah, but lots of people are buying Toyota branded Toyota’s when they could go to their local Chevy dealer and get the appropriate Geo that’s the exact same car.
