Looks like it has many of the characteristics of the Challenger.

No! Please don’t share this here. This is very poor “reporting” from an idiot who calls himself an “automotive journalist”.

This is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a release from General Motors. This is a 4-5 year old artist rendering that has no basis in anything other than just an artist drawing a car design. It is based on a Challenger body with a 1970 Chevelle front end drawn on.

This type of piss poor “journalism” needs to be stopped. There has been numerous “articles” like this over the years saying “The new Cuda” and always it gets spread on forums and car sites. even after the CEO of SRT said in an interview that “there is not, nor has there ever been, a plan to do a Cuda”. Every year some “automotive journalist” finds a artist rendering and writes an “insider” story. It is all BS.

When a manufacturer does a new model, or redesign, they have an official release…usually at a big auto show. they NEVER leak information to a lower level “automotive journalist”

We did see a Camaro based Trans Am cruising around at Automotion. It looked pretty cool, I’m sure it was someone’s kit car?

There is a company (I believe in Kansas?) that does conversions from a Camaro to a GTO or two different versions of the Trans Am (72 & 78).

There is a couple companies that have done Cuda conversions on Challengers too.

All look decent, but still something looks a bit off.

This is one (of several) tribute Trans Ams, currently available based on the Chevrolet Camaro. Serious carguys and cargals recognize the name Lingenfelter Performance.

Here is the company that makes those modern Camaro Trans Am conversions. They also do GTOs.
