RKelly at VH posted this and I’d like to repost it here to help him get the answer he’s looking for. Here’s his post:

I am looking to buy a new 05 Corolla but I don’t have a ton of money and I’m looking for the best price. I am thinking model year end closeout, but when does that start? I see some other car manufacturers have started to do that, along with the “employee pricing” incentive. After doing some online research it doesn’t appear Toyota will be offering employee pricing like their American counterparts. Should I try the dealerships now, or should I wait for the model year end and better deals, and if so how much longer should I wait? Thanks

The end of the model year is the best time to buy where I live.

If his local Toyota dealers have websites he should be watching
their inventory. As their supply of 2005 Corollas dwindles he should get
    ready to buy.

That’s how I bought my new Dodge trucks, and I didn’t negotiate!!!

The price they gave me was much lower than I expected to pay!

Also, the end of the month is sometimes a good time to
buy because the dealers want to move the cars out.

Hey thanks guys. Any idea when Toyota will be introducing their 06’s? I have seen some local dealers offer 0% financing which is key……now just play the waiting game.

No problem! icon_cheesygrin.gif I’m not sure but if I had to guess I would say that they would start introducing them between October – December, maybe try calling your local dealership and ask them – see if they will give you an answer

06 Models have been known to show up as early as September, usually that’s the case for the domestics so as Garabaldi said the imports will appear at dealerships a month later (October on). Best to wait it out until the end of the month as it becomes a push for dealerships to make their numbers, a chance for a great deal.

Toyota sales have been very strong which justifies their need for not offering an employee discount. As a matter of fact, they were talking about raising their prices a few months ago to help their American counterparts out. I didn’t hear much after that but it’s best to start looking at inventories and planning now.

They also are releasing more hybrid models this year, 6 total I believe.
