I’m glad you asked that question!
Let’s talk about wings. No, not on airplanes!!!
Guys around here drive ricers with HUGE wings
on the trunk.Looks terrible. icon_sad.gif
August 8, 2005 at 11:19 pm #16818GaribaldiKeymasterYou mean like the cars that fly? Or is this just for looks?
August 8, 2005 at 11:30 pm #16819AnonymousInactiveAny and all thoughts regarding any kind of automobile.
Some have air dams, spoilers, hoods, skirts, mirrors, interior accesories, etc.
August 8, 2005 at 11:32 pm #16820GaribaldiKeymasterWhat is your take Epicurus?
August 8, 2005 at 11:39 pm #16821AnonymousInactiveI’m still deciding. I just got a GREAT deal on a 350Z.
I’d like to customize it a little so it doesn’t look OEM. But since I’m an old guy I want to do it in a sutble but tasteful way. I don’t want anyone to think I a sreet racer, though. Interior accents might be nice….Definately not like the pix below….

Here’s a photo. Sorry that it’s so big. It was the first
one that I saw in Google………August 8, 2005 at 11:42 pm #16823GaribaldiKeymasterThat is too big!! icon_eek.gif The different between subtile and intrusive!!! I like them if the add to the car without distracting you from the rest of the vehicle – that is too far overboard

All of that stuff looks great, if it’s tastefully done.
For example………. There is a Ford F-150 around here
that has custom air scoops in the hood.It looks nice but the guy has a construction-type of cap
on the bed. The hood sccops don’t look right with that
cap, so it makes the truck look worse than it should. When you say carbon fiber I have to think of fiberglass
because that’s what was used in my era!!!August 8, 2005 at 11:46 pm #16825AnonymousInactiveQuote:That is too big!! icon_eek.gif The different between subtile and intrusive!!! There are lots of kids with cars like this in CA.

Add to that the loud round ricer muffler and the 1″ profile tires
and it’s ready for the dumpster. They could really make those ricers look nice with subtle changes
and a good paint job.I’ve been seeing a lot of full size pick-up trucks with those 1″ tires
and they look like ****!!!Hit just one pothole and bye-bye $1,000. icon_sad.gif
EDIT………….. All of this is just my opinion!

That’s why I’m banned from every forum on the internet except The Pub and this one!!! w00t.gif
Free Kool-Aid at The Pub and free pizza here. I’m happy!!!August 9, 2005 at 12:06 am #16829GaribaldiKeymasterWell I’m glad you like the free pizza! Drogar-Laugh(LBG).gif
August 9, 2005 at 11:47 pm #16830AnonymousInactiveI’m thinking of doing something like this to my Silver Chrome (same as pix) 350z. The thing I’m mostly concerned about is the carbon fiber hood. Does it make the car look too aggressive? What are your thoughts on the other carbon fiber accessories too?
August 10, 2005 at 12:00 am #16831GaribaldiKeymasterWhat does the original grill look like? The new one looks kind of like a razor. I don’t think its too aggressive, I just wouldn’t want to stick my head in front of it, I’d probably go bald! Drogar-Laugh(LBG).gif
