I voted for “great if you can afford it”. It depends on what type of vehicle you’re talking about. Personally I like to see stock classic cars, and since none of them had neon lighting I wouldn’t like to see it on them. I think it would add a little flavor and variety to the other drab new cars today though

So, when today’s cars become classics should the lighting be removed?

It looks great if it’s done properly.

Most of the cars I see don’t have a clue!!! icon_rolleyes.gif

The neon tubes aren’t supposed to be seen. Only the
effects should be seen. There should be a heavy glow
underneath the car, as if the car was floating.

I’ve only seen a few cars that were set up correctly and the
    effect was incredible.

Side note……… I’ve seen neon on the front bumpers, in the windshield
and in the rear window. UGLY!!! icon_sad.gif

I’m not sure about that one, I guess it depends on who you talk to. I personally consider “classic cars” to be 1975 and earlier – some exceptions though. The reason I like these cars is because of the unique styling and designs put into them. I’m not sure that I would ever regard modern vehicles in the same way because IMO they lack the styling that made classic cars great and unique!

It might look good on a leadsled.

For example, a chopped Merc, candyapple purple.
Lakepipes on the side with neon behind them.

If the neon was subtle it might look cool.

Side note…… Over the weekend a chopped 50’s car went passed
my house with a candy paint job that STUNK!!!

    It was all blotchy. YUK.

They can sure do some cool things with it. I personally wouldn’t have it on my car, but if someone likes it, great.
