Add another vote for Gran Torino. I was blown away by the movie as a whole and Clint Eastwood did such an amazing job of providing a movie with great action and suspense while at the same time a good message. Also another vote for The Dark Knight. That movie is fantastic!
Another couple classic movies I really enjoy are Duel and Breakdown.
