    Hello!

My name is Erin and I’ve just recently gotten engaged. After thinking about it for a while, my soon to be hubby and I, would like to have a 1930’s style wedding. And I just adore cars from that era… so I’ve looked around a bit and renting such a vehicle from a company ends up being a lil more money than I really wanna part with. So with that said I turn to my fellow car enthusiasts. If anyone has a 30’s era or even very early 40’s vehicle they would be willing to rent for a fair price please send the following to me via pm:

    1) A picture of the vehicle (packard limo would be ideal)
    2) Your name
    3) A phone # or email where you can be reached
    4) And a price you would be willing to rent it at
    5) How many it seats (8 other than the driver is ideal, 2 besides the driver at least) <— needs to be one or the other

The wedding is still fairly far into the future, but I like to have all my eggs in the basket before hand icon_cheesygrin.gif October 31, 2009 to be more exact.

Just to be clear I would require you, or someone you trust fully, to drive to the chapel and then to the reception. Approximately 3hours or so. And since this is a wedding, you would need to be wearing a dark, preferably black suit or tux.

Should we agree on terms I will give you the location of the chapel and reception.

Thanks so much in advance. And just a note..if you happen to know someone that owns a vehicle from the 30’s, be so kind as to refer them to me. wave.gif

I know of someone who may be able to help you out. He has a 1941 Cadillac business coupe. I will pass along your info to him and see if he is interested. If so, how may he contact you? Could you send me a phone number in a PM?

    Erin,

Welcome to the forum!!!! We’re glad to have you.

I would plan on attending the Hill & Valley Car Show in Cross Plains, Saturday, September the 20th. This is the one local car show each year that attracts many, many Model A’s, Model T’s, and 1930s vintage cars. I would prepare a printed flyer and walk around talking with the car owners about what you would like to do. If you are not able to line something up at this show, then you might reconsider your plans.

I hope this helps, and best of luck

Good idea Marshall! I think that’s probably the biggest show of 30s-era cars around here.
