Hi Folks,

Hard to believe we are in for more snow…

My 1970 Buick Wildcat has a non-functioning clock. In your opinions, is it better to find a working clock or repair the one I have? As before, this is all new to me.

Have your original one rebuilt with quartz. There are a lot of different places out there that can rebuild that for you.

moparkid is right (as usual) …

you can send it off and have it rebuilt with quartz guts for 250-350.

Or you can order the same kit and do it yourself for 100. I’ve read a few articles on folks doing it themselves.

The main reason the clocks stopped is due to not lubing up the parts in the clock (sometimes all it takes is to just lube it and it will work again).

Thanks guys for the ideas. I was thinking getting a quartz replacement was the way to go, but just wasn’t sure.
