There is a very informative article in this months American Car Collector magazine (#27, May-June 2016), about these cars and their potential future value.
In 1970, only 3,100 W-30’s were produced. In the past 12 months, only 6 have sold at auction, with an average price of $109,633. These cars have a current median ACC valuation of $107,250.
Here’s an excerpt from the article…
“W-30 cars have been market favorites for some time, but in building the newest ACC Pocket Price Guide, ACC’s Associate Editor Chad Tyson noted a significant increase in 1970 Olds 442 W-30 prices over this time in 2015; Specifically, an increase of over 107% in the median level, from $51,700 in 2015 to $107,250 by April of 2016.
