Which car would you like to own from the 70’s, and what makes it so special?

    I had a ’77 Ranchero

It turned heads and always got compliments.

I don’t think that would happen today
because the design and looks of that
    car seem so out-of-place now!

    It was similar to this……….

A little off topic but how do you get the background color to be transparent like that?

Had a ’71 Plymouth Satellite Sebring.

    Painted it with black lacquer!!!

Wet sanded and rubbed it out. Very nice

    Side note……….

It had a 318 and I wanted to see what it could do.

So, when the light turned green I floored it. Snapped both
motor mounts. The engine twisted sideways somewhat, but I
    made it home.

    Look similar to this………….

    I used a big bottle of white-out!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Actually, that’s how the picture looked when I linked to it.

We can do the same thing with our photo programs.

I use Corel Photopaint. Don’t ask me how to do it ’cause
    it’s been a while!!!

I think just set the background to transparent. In one
of my posts at VH I was working on that.

    Big piece of garbage!!!!!!!

Looked almost exactly like this. Same terrible color too!

I painted it black lacquer and it looked great!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Ok, I’ll try reading up on it, I guess I could just try to make it the same color, rather than white or whatever. Thanks.

That’s the funniest shade of black that I’ve ever seen! :haha:

Just Joking, I know that’s not your actual car. thumbsup.gif

My Rabbit was such a pile of junk!

One time I opened the door and it fell off! icon_eek.gif

When the exhaust went bad, I took the engine out and put it on
a table. Much easier to work on it that way.

I think one of the hampsters was dead because the car had no power at all.

That car is the reason I’ll never buy another VW. icon_sad.gif

My would have to be the car I dive now: 70 AMC Hornet SST. A small car, but can to a heavy trailer and take off when you need it to.
