A "what if" for Babylon 5

Another “what if” topic, this time for Babylon 5. What are some crucial decisions (wow, there are a lot) that occured in Babylon 5? How did their outcome affect the characters and how did it change them? For example what if Garibaldi had taken a security contigent with him when he discovered about the plot to assasinate President Santiago? They might have been able to warn Earth Force 1 in time to save the President, and prevent the terrible conditions instituted by President Clark under Martial Law.
