Yes. All shows big or small should have a tuner class.

Yea. I agree the tuners should not only have there own class, but they are now popular enough that there class should be broken up from stock/modified along with year breakpoints for the classes up to present day.

We have a majority vote so I’ve added Tuner classes to each Class Type since that seems to be the consensus. If we were to break up the tuner class by years, what would the year ranges be and should that only be in Class A or Class B?

    Class A only.

At least one tuner class should be in all types of shows. The class A and B shows should start to have it split up depending on attendance the previous year if applicable.

There are some 600+ horsepower tuners in this town. Remember a mid-70’s Corvette didn’t even have 200.

Thats 200 STOCK hp running on a brand new form of tech from the 70s due to emission standards. Something that occured when “tuning” didnt even exist. I wouldnt compare a stock vehicel to a fully build one at all. Remember there are low 8 second american v-8 rwd cars that are driven daily in this town also and yet to see a tuner at a show with +600hp. Unless you mean the Turbo Pontiac Gto i saw. And back in the mid 60s Chrysler was making 10 second street cars right from the factory. Something even to this day, has never been done. Im not impressed with the hp ratings coming out of stock Japanese cars at all. Or their track times. And that includes the Dautson Skyline.
I guess i stand corrected when i say this though. The fastest fwd car in the world would be considered a tuner. The Cobalt. Ok, ill say american tuners are fast in the stock class.

I guess I am really amazed at your close-minded view towards imports. Won’t respect the car that held the record at Nurgburgring and forced Porsche to invent the GT-2? I hope some night you come across the Evolution in town that is pushing 800 horse and he walks all over you. or some kid in a POS Honda 3 door hatch does the same.

Bleeding true blue American is one thing (I respect that) but being a disrepectful ass is another.

D, I have known you for a few years now and never had anything but respect for you and the vehicles you have owned. You lost a little of that respect with your view and statements towards imports.

Not everybody shares your tastes, that is obvious to me every time people praise the Corvette. I have made my foolish statements about this vehicle and offended people. I have learned to keep my opinion to myself and when asked just say “I am not a fan” and leave it at that.
