We’ve seen discussion for the addition of a tuner class to the listing for Class A shows. We currently have 11 contributors. Please cast your vote in this topic by responding “yay” or “nay” to the addition of the Tuner Class to Class A. We will act once we have 6 votes one way or the other. That was the base model engine. Back then, you could get a Corvette with options: http://www.edmunds.com/chevrolet/corvette/history.html
You can’t compare a stock, 70s emission sports car to a modded import. That’s apples to oranges.
The current track record held is by the ACR Dodge Viper the Chevy ZR1 Corvette. Nevr said anything about respect, just not impressed. The Viper and ZR1 do that for me. The proof is in their numbers.
And as far as 800hp evos go i have came across one. I remember it clearly. And so does alot of other people that night including moparkid. 2K was laid down and that 800hp evo you talk about went home with his tail between his legs. Last time i was at Byron(and im down there quite often) three AMS Evos were running and all had catistrophic failures. Same applies for what ever junk honda civic you implied that can walk me. I remember those events as well. Seems like every honda civic that thinks he his fast feels the need to talk their smack before getting crushed. If i am beatin by a ricer that is built so far beyond STOCK that it resembles nothing from the factory, then so be it. Who cares. Im out every weekend on the street or at the strip during the summer months since i was 16. I have seen 10k races in person. A fast car is a fast car no doubt. Having a fast Honda is like coming out of the closet though, at first everyone is surprised, but at the end of the day your still gay.
Just because i dont think that variable valve timing is the hot ticket makes me an ass? First off it was a joke to begin with. Second, not being able to deal with other peoples opines isnt my problem. Its yours. I really dont care what people think of me. Its an open forum and i wont be bullied into shutting up in fear of people losing “respect.” Its a b.s. word thrown around to make people feel bad about expressing their feelings and thoughts. If i said that i didnt want any tuner classes, what would you say to that? It was a question asked on here, was it not? Am i an ass for giving an honest opine that was asked for by the adminisrator? I have seen your comments on here about American autos and never once slammed you about the way you think. If there is a tuner class so be it, really dont care. It does not bother me at all. But you wont see me over there drooling over them. Its not, and never will be my bag and im not a fan. They are cars, not races of people for gods sake.
D, the question was a simple one, should imports have their own class. You chose to throw in an insult and I called you on it. The administrators did not ask for your opinion on what you think of imports.
Yes, I have made my poorly worded comments about Corvettes on this forum. I was called on them, maybe not by you, but I was called none the less. I didn’t attack back with more insults as you are. I apologized and learned from it. I never came back with childish quips like your “coming out of the closet” gem. Honestly, viewpoints and statements like yours add no value to the discussion. My past comments did not either. I am not better than you nor do I feel a need to insult your tastes. You made a foolish statement, own it.

I and others on here go to as many as 20 shows a year. I dont see anyone slamming you for your opinions on a subject that we are far more involved with then yourself. Im on here to help make shows THAT I GO TO better for everyone. And like to throw some humor ontop because its just my style, and ill be damned if ill hesitate in giving my opinion or being who i am just because someone is on their period.
Well thanks for seeing that your comparison was a silly.
ANYWAYS….. 😆 to continue what i said about class a only. Class B shows do not get enough tuners to be broken down into years. Only class a should. 😆
