Is anyone considering a possible trade or purchase of a new vehicle this winter? I know MMRJR already mentioned that his son bought a 2003 Jetta. This could be either classic or daily driver. Are there any new toys in store this year?

I just had a new Tranny and Computer and Some minor Engine work on my 97 Dodge Caravan, so I will have it for a few more years. I might get the New Challenger in 08/09…

For the house I hope to get broadband/digital cable.

Nope. I suspect I might need a my transmission rebuilt sometime this year though. Already got 126,000 miles on it.

How many (about) do you put on it per year? A new tranny should hopefully give you several more years out of it

18,000/yr I think. I expect any new transmission to last about as long as the original ones lasts, which in my case would be more than just a few years.

Do you use it for work as well, or just personal use?
