I was just wondering.
On one of the other forums that I frequent (Vintage Mustang Forums, VMF), a poster was ranting and raving about buying and selling on craigslist. Low and behold, I find that we have one here locally.
I found a 1967 Ford Galaxie convertible in Montello that I have taken an interest in. Allowing for the seller to contact me this weekend, I plan to drive up and take a look at it.
I haven’t spent alot of time on craigslist, but so far, I am pretty impressed with what I have seen.

I put it on ebay for 7 days.
I sold it because of what happened at QSL. The new bar manager, who for no real reason didn’t like me, messed up my schedule so badly that I got behind on bills. That is how she forced me out of the Lube. It is a shame when someone gets a position of power and makes things personal and not professional. Besides the car cruise ins, I was one of the best bartenders there. She just didn’t like me, never did from day one. I rarely ever even spoke with her. Some people just don’t gel.
Jon ~ I’m very sorry to hear that! You shouldn’t judge your decision on what one person thinks and I would think there should be someone you can go to in order to resolve issues such as this. It’s a shame it came down to no longer having cruise nights and selling your car. I’m not happy!
When the one person has control over your money, you are usually forced into a decision. When they promoted her to bar manager, she immediately started changing my schedule to the point where I was making 50 to 60 percent less money. I went to Scott (the owner) and he and I sat down and readjusted back. He said then that I was too important with cruise night to let go. After the cruise nights ended it all went right back, I guess I wasn’t that important anymore. It is not right but it is what it is. I worked my butt off for that place and put a huge part of myself into it. I loved working there. Yes, it is a shame that one person can ruin something you care about.

Thats ridiculous that your hours were cut back at one point. Many business owners have short memories, usually they end up regretting their decision. Have you had any opportunities present themselves? This is usually a tough time of year for job hunting.
