Anyone use craigslist.madison.com?

I was just wondering.

On one of the other forums that I frequent (Vintage Mustang Forums, VMF), a poster was ranting and raving about buying and selling on craigslist. Low and behold, I find that we have one here locally.

I found a 1967 Ford Galaxie convertible in Montello that I have taken an interest in. Allowing for the seller to contact me this weekend, I plan to drive up and take a look at it.

I haven’t spent alot of time on craigslist, but so far, I am pretty impressed with what I have seen.

That 65 Fastback looks like alot of car for the money!

The 4 speed transmission and the center console really add to the value of this car. It would be difficult, if not near impossible, to find another nicely restored 65 fastback for this kind of money.

That 1965 LeSabre has to be rare, I don’t remember ever seeing one. Sharp looking Mustang.

Excuse me for wading in on the Mustang convertible, but I have to disagree. I will admit that I have become very anal about originality and authenticity.

The car was originally a six cylinder car, and changed during restoration to a V8 289. It is not a real GT, but has some GT equipment.

Even though this car is a nice looker, I would put the current value at around $15,000. If it were a real GT, with original motor and originally a red car, then the value would be $30,000.

Just my two cents worth……..

I agree, if it was an original GT $30000 would be fair, but since it isnt, $15k is a more realistic price.

I do remember there used to be a dark green Pinto that raced on East Wash about 10 years ago. It was caged and had a 351 in it I think, does anybody remember that car?
