Back to the 50’s 2010

I was doing a little reading on car shows and I see the Back to the 50’s has a cut-off of no older then 1964 (which is understandable).

But on their registration form in bold red letters it says: NO MUSTANGS

That is a bit ruff on Mustang owners, who could see the cut off date ….

Technically, there were some 1964 1/2 mustangs built. But rules are rules… Its similar to the Dells cutting off at 1989. However, the organizers at WI Dells should learn how read a VIN number because I see plenty of early 90’s vehicles in the show.

This show has been that way for YEARS….. There are literally thousands of cars at this show, more than you can normally see. I think this is there way of controlling the car counts? I’d love to see the show opened to more years, but doubt that’s going to happen.

But your driving a VW..

I heard a few years ago 65’s were trying pass them off as 64 1/2’s to get in. So to avoid
confusion they just said no Mustangs..
