I don’t think I’ve ever seen their classes listed until you get there, they have a very simple flyer. Let me do some checking for you.

    -Dan Tomas Memorial Mopar Trophy
    -Kids Pick
    -Culver’s Cool Ride Pick

Registration is from 8 to noon with trophies given at 3:30. The cost is still only $5 which is almost unheard of these days. There will be dash plaques and goody bags given to the first 200 entries along with door prizes thoughout the day, 50/50 raffle, cash prize for best club participation, and a cash prize drawing for those that pre-registered by August 1st. “Scoopie” from Culver’s will be there along with various local food vendors. It’s not advertised on the flyer, but retired NASCAR driver, Dave Marcis, is also going to be there signing autographs. This show has been growing every year and with a few tweaks here and there they expect this to be the best show yet. If you have any questions, you can contact Todd Newton at 608-588-2422. Hope you all can make it to Spring Green!

Thanks! I’m assuming you are associated with the show to give us all that info! On the Special Interest class, what justifies special interest? I don’t like new cars mixed in with cars that are clearly special interest, I’d love to see that clarified at some of the shows we’ve attended this year.

    See you Saturday! :)

We’re planning on Spring Green on Saturday ~ great show we always look forward to.

I’d also like to invite everyone out to Culver’s on Tuesday night, WHIT will be there and have given the Road Apples great exposure in the last few days.

Does anyone know if Rev. Jim’s is still going on? I heard last week there have been 5-10 cars or less each week for a bit now.

I work for one of the show sponsors. In our opinion, “new cars” would not classify as special interst since we already have classes designated for newer vehicles. Special interest would be race cars, drag cars, dune buggys or anything that does not fit into a class we already have listed.

Very cool, ill be there. This looks like one of the best class break downs i have seen this year! I assume that it is participant judging still?

Yes–it is participant judged. Since voting on all 30 classes would be too time consuming, we divided the 30 classes into 5 separate ballots. When someone registers, the ballots are randomly handed out and you will only have to vote on 6 of the 30 classes along with Best of Show stock and modified picks.

Spring Green looks good to me too…we’ll see if I can make it.

As for Rev. Jim’s Cruise-ins, they are still on…just not as promoted as usual. A lot of it has to do with Belinda’s health (which is also why the vfw show is cancelled this year)since she is the the person in charge of it. Rumor has it that a benefit show will be held this fall either at Rev Jims or the VFW

Let us know about any benefit, I’m sure others would be willing to help. Something at VFW would be nice, great location and everyone knows where it’s at.

Welcome to the Forum Cuda Man!!!

And thanks for the info on the Spring Green show, I’ll be there. It sounds like your group has really done there homework on the class breakdown, and you can’t beat $5 for an entry fee.

I’ll be headed to DBQ on Sunday for the Mopar show too!

There were 31 cars at the Tuesday evening cruise-in at Rev Jim’s last week, with the weekly winner being a very nice 1935 Hudson from Whitewater.

Belinda Posto is back from Mayo and on her feet, so I look for this get together to take off again.

Culver’s East Towne tonight, should be a great night for a Cruise In. :)

HIT Radio 1550 WHIT hopes you’ll clean off your classic car and join us at Culver’s East Towne (4301 East Towne Blvd, Madison) on Tuesday, August 18th, for a Cruise Night! It goes from 6-9pm and is hosted by the Road Apples Car Club. Stop by, look at all the cars, ask questions and reminisce! HIT Radio 1550 will be there, too!
