Thinking about Jesus Built my Hotrod, what’s that show like?

I went last year. It’s a very nice show. I’m going to this one also again this year, for personal reasons, I’m excited, anxious, and nervous :)

And let’s face it – I could use more Jesus in my life

The Jesus show was participant Judging like they do in Spring Green, but they have you park by class. Large grass field that could hold 1000 cars. Not much around other then the church.

I’m thinking about trying to get some of the things done on my honey-do list this weekend …

Your honey do list continues to grow, but you do good work! :)

Weather permitting, Dick and I will be at the Jesus Built My Hot Rod Show again this year! This will be my 3d consecutive year at this show.

It’s a very, very well run show by the NLAG (New Life Assembly of God) Church in Janesville. It’s a participant judged show, and you will be parked with other cars/trucks in your class. Like Amigo2K posted, there is room for about 1000 cars on their property. The church ladies prepare and serve excellent food, and an associate pastor or elder will be involved in the awards presentation at the end of the show. In addition to great awards, there is usually a Pastor’s pick and the car show committee’s pick, and a Best of Show Pick. Bruce and Kathy Stewart were last years Best of Show pick.

May try the Taste of Portage show on Saturday, a nice drive up there. Anyone been to that one before? May go to church at cars and coffee on Sunday. Looks like a great weekend for car events.

If variety of food choices is high on your list, the Taste of Portage is an excellent choice.

I haven’t been able to get back to this show for several years, but I really like parking “in town” with the food festival also going on.
