I’m thinking about hitting up QSL Thursday…

and then convince one of my weekend guests to jump in my car early Saturday to head to Pardeeville with me and then leave Pardeeville by 10AM to head home to get ready for the badger opener (7PM kick off).

I have every intention of doing a “triple” this weekend.

Pardeeville for sure on Saturday. Pardeeville, for me, is one of the “must attend” shows.

Sunday is Heather’s Lake Ripley Show, just outside Cambridge. I have heard that this will be the last year for this show. I haven’t confirmed this rumor, but if you have never been to this show, this may be your last opportunity.

And Monday, I am going back to Janesville to the Gordie Boucher Show. I like the drive down to Janesville and I have never been able to get to this show in years past.

If I am able to pull this off, it will be a first for me. I have done alot of “doubles”, but never a “triple”.

FYI Marshall, the Heathers Lake Rippley show is on its last legs for a reason…it is by far the worst show I have ever been to, and the only cars that bring trophies are those that are friends of Heather.

The only nice thing about the show is the location…its a nicely located park with a beach.

And dont expect much from the Gordie Boucher show… You might fit in better with your Mustang, but they really dont like people bringing imports to their show.

Either way, have fun…thats a pretty ca-filled weekend.

    Thanks for the heads-up.

I haven’t heard any reports on Heather’s Show, either good or bad.

In regards to the Gordie Boucher Show, I know there are alot of very nice Mustangs, both old and new, that attend that show. I don’t expect too much, but I thought I would check it out (weather permitting)

Marshall, Good luck at Gordie Boucher’s. Haven’t thougt of that place in years. Had a brand new 1984 ford tempo, needed to sell it to get started in the flower business and needed a van badly. Ad in the state journal said paying cash for used cars so drove to Madison to see what we could get. The guy made us a great offer ,so told him we would bring car back tomorrow with a ride home. No way, he replies, if we buy it we buy it now. So some shop kid gives us a ride out to a liquor store by westside Menards and we start calling for someone to come and get us.Finally found somebody to come get us and we were on our way to Boscobel. Anyway, seeing how there will be alot of very nice Mustangs at their show, add yours to the list of very nice. Your car shows very nicely, so have fun and go get em’ Fordasaki

I must of had one too many adult beverages this evening. I just posted a reply and it disappeared.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!! There really is a very nice herd of pony cars (old and new) from the Janesville, Edgerton, Milton area that are frequent winners and I am showing at one of their home shows. A nice, pleasant stress free day spent with friends old and new, is always the best award at the end of the day. Ihave driven past this dealership many times, but never stopped or attended their show. It’s a real kick to go to a new show for the very first time!

That’s a great story about your Ford Tempo. I had forgotten about the Ford Tempo. I see and think about the Falcons, and the Mavericks, and the Pintos, but I can’t remember the last time I saw a Tempo on the road or at a show.

I’m going to Fond Du Lac for the Wisconsin Street Rod Corn Roast. Friday and Saturday night dances and show on Saturday and Sunday. Then it’s off to Oshkosh for the show on Monday at South Park.

I’m guessing there could be a record number of cars at QSL tonight. The weather will be perfect, it’s the start of a long weekend, and we’re getting close to the end of the car show year. When is the final cruise-in for QSL this year?

I believe it will continue until the snow flies, or around the end of October
