Doing Edgerton this year instead of a Reedsburg. Have not been there in a while. Let’s hope a 2010 Challenger doesn’t win BOS! :woohoo:

Edgerton for me also. Never been to this show, and have heard mixed reviews, but I’m not going to waste my time going to Reedsburg.

I’m staying home this weekend, I went to Edgerton last year.

I have supported the Edgerton Tobacco Days show for the past few years, but not this year.

I’m taking this weekend off and not going to any shows.

Could this be the first show with a “bad” review of the year? I hope not. It’s been a very good year for well ran shows.

Our daughter is having surgery on Thursday, we’re going to take the weekend off too. I’m anxious to hear how Edgerton goes, it used to be a great show ~ let’s hope they took the advice they received last year to heart and made changes.

Not a official review but my brother headed into QSL Thursday night with the FFR Cobra. He had asked me to go but I had anew toy fresh off the trailer and wanted to sit and admire it.

Anyways. He mentioned it was some kind of Hybrid night, likely because of the Hybrid display at the County fair. The front parking area was loaded with Prii. Some daily driver cars where being let in, A family in a Mercedes SUV was one he remembered. They were there to eat, not to show or look.

He also mentioned there were a lot of dealers who brought cars over, stickers in the windows and everything. Trailers parked nearby for the Queens…..Not,many actual Hot Rods or such in the lot. He didn’t know but he figured Benchmark had a few parked over there as well.

He was so pissed, he had one $15 pitcher of Miller Lite with a friend and left.

I was at QSL on Thursday too. The hybrids come once a year in coordination with Hybridfest. QSL puts them in the show because they want to try and respect all car enthusiasts, whether they are interested in street rods, classic muscle, retro mods, modern muscle, or yes even modern alternative vehicles.

I really liked the yellow cuda that was there as well as the pink caddy with the stacked headlights!

I plan to no longer attend QSL due the treatment a few of my friends recieved there a couple weeks ago. I do not understand how you let modified imports in all spring and summer thus far, then tell them “You can’t park in here, this is for show vehicles only.”

When jonmandude was relieved of his position there, I felt he got the short end of the stick. But, because of me moving and wanting to do something car related, QSL was my only choice and Thursday was a good night for me. However, with recent events, I feel they are now about the almighty dollar and not about the cars and the people who enjoy them.

Here’s my Cliffnotes why I don’t like QSL:

    -I think the food sucks

-The outside bartenders have given me attitude on more than one occasion when I’ve been more than happy to pay $2 for a soda. And with that, I’m not going to tip on a soft drink that cost them .25 cents.

-The last time I was there and did have dinner with my friends, the waitstaff screwed up the check. Then another friend of mine waited 90 minutes for his family’s order. They were told twice by two different waitresses that there food was coming next, then the manager came over to explain to him that there order was lost, dinner was being prepared now, and there meal was on the house. He was not happy about being lied to, and there is no excuse for it – if they would’ve admitted losing his order first, he would’ve been fine with it. I cant say I blame him.

QSL is not a good fit for me, so I’ll graciously file the divorce papers :)
