Here is the info I’ve heard about the Power Tour…

Friday there is a group heading to QSL for a VA benefit (+100 cars planning to attend).

Saturday the Power Tour “show” starts at 9AM. If you want to park in with the Power Tour cars it will cost 25 bucks. There will be 1200-1500 cars and 10-12 national vendors (Napa, GM, Ford, FlowMast, Year One, Air Ride……)

Sunday the Power Tour Starts at 9AM there is a drivers meeting at 8AM. Then they will head to Racine where the Vendors will be set-up again (the route is 100.5 miles).

I’m already signed up and planning on doing all the above….

I plan on QSL Thursday night and Friday all day(after noon). Then Saturday hit the Power Tour at the Alliant after 1:30 and cruise Madison all night

Trying to do it with all the cars. Edsel Thursday, Camaro Friday and Apache Saturday. Spent all day today cleaning and detailing plus the maintenance.

    Ahhh, good times.

    Should be a good time;)

Hey Ryan – just out of curiosity does the VW have enough “power” for the power tour – LOL?

Speaking of Volksies, at Cocours Motors in Milwaukee there will be a VW car show on 6-6-09 Saturday. Nice laid back show open to all VWs and VW powered cars, old and new. Saw a couple of nice type 34s last year there.

I think this coming weekend will be very “weather dependent” for most of us. There does not appear to be any clear concensus on whether we will have rain on Saturday and Sunday, or have no rain at all on Saturday and Sunday.

There is alot on the calendar for this weekend, so I am hoping for nice weather on Saturday and Sunday.

Yeah I’ve heard mixed reviews. My plan is Deforest – its always a nice show in a good location and close by. We’ll just have to see for sure how it looks on Saturday

Wow, great night for a cruise last night. Culvers @ East Towne was packed with cars at least 50. This has become the place to be for Tuesday nights in Madison. They don’t serve beer, and they don’t give out 3ft trophies.

No need to be materialistic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Materialistic) and getting a DWI on your way home. Just good car people having a great time.

If you haven’t been there I recommend giving it a try. :)

The main thing at The Road Apples Tuesday night cruise in is good people. If you talk to anyone that attends there regularly, the main reason they keep coming back is the people. There is no egos, no brand snobbery, no attitude, just good people enjoying the hobby.

Thats the way cruisins are supposed to be.

Unfortunatly it looks like I wont have my engine back together until Sunday…so Ill miss out on yet another weekend of automotive fun. On the plus side, the rebuild is going well, just finished porting and polishing the heads. Now I have to reassemble them with new valves, seals, etc.

I agree, the RoadApples have the best cruise night around! Having a bunch of shots and getting behind the wheel to drive home doesn’t sound real appealing to me… Plus I’m not sure I want my car sitting in a bar parking lot for everyone to bump into, spill there drink on, some a-hole run his chain drive wallet across the fender – the possibilities are endless.

Like Jon said, the RA nights are unbiased. I wasn’t able to make it last night, but since I’m done work early tomorrow I’m gonna swing over to QSL and see how that is so far…

Thanks! The Road Apples try very hard to make everyone feel welcome and it’s showing as our membership grows every week. The cars are fun to look at, but it’s the friends you see and the friendships you make that keep everyone coming back. I’m going to try some different ideas this summer to kick it up a bit… Anyone that hosts a cruise night is in it for the same reason, join us!
