I’m going to hit up Sun Prairie (even if my temp sending unit isn’t fixed)

And maybe Oregon if my engine still holds enough oil.

I’ll be attending Sun Prairie on Saturday for two reasons: 1. I’m a sponsor of the show, and 2. I didn’t get KISS tickets.

Sunday I’ll head down to Albany even though my sweetie lives across the street from jaycee park in Oregon. Nothing against the Oregon show, just planned to do Albany a while back :)

I will be at the Tasting Room thing on Thursday. i know some of you mentioned that you are not interested in anything to do with smoking. Me, I enjoy a good cigar, so it is perfect for me.

Sounds like Rev. Jims was a flop last night, only 4 cars there I’m told.

However, Culvers East Towne was packed with hot rods!

QSL tonight for me, with maybe something different, and then Black Earth on Saturday. Volunteering at that show to help park cars.

I did the Tasting Room event today. Kind of a disappointment from a car person standpoint. There was no parking reserved and the event was about cigars and only cigars. I did see a few people stop in with nice cars. The ’59 Austin-Healy bug-eyed Sprite was so damn cool.

From a cigar lover point of view, it was absolutely amazing. I have been to a few cigars events and they are usually the same old boring “our cigars are made this way” and “our cigars are better than the others because…” this was not. Yes it was about a particular brand of cigar, but it was more of an offering of their particular cigar. It was nice to meet THE person that came up with this certain cigar and watch him roll cigars. He is truly an artist.

I do applaud the owner of The Tasting Room and the people from NUB Cigars for trying something different. It is nice to see someone outside of the car hobby actually try.

Rumor has it some asshat has been calling the Sun Prairie City Offices demanding to see permits for the Road Apples show tomorrow. You only need a permit if your selling alcoholic concessions, which they are not. The Fire Dept donated the cost of the park, and all concessions vendors are not financially affiliated to the show. They supply and sell the product, not the car club.

Obviously a piss poor attempt by someone to sabotage a show that has been so well planned out and organized thru a lot of hoops, sweat, and hard work.

If I get my hands on the culprit, well, lets just say my language won’t be that of Queens’ English nor will my physical actions…

That sucks! Why do people insist on doing stuff like that? Some anti-car person?
