Who will be attending Automotion this year?

I don’t get on this site much, but always like to chime in once a year to say I will be attending Automotion again this year with my 1960 Pontiac. I think this may be my last year for awhile as my family is getting tired of making the same trip every year. I enjoy the cars, but with 3 kids, its time to visit somewhere else like the east coast or something.

Hope to see many of my favorite cars this year and most likely some new ones I haven’t seen. Maybe someday I will return after this year with a different car. I have some project ideas in mind, but they will take awhile!

Hoping for better weather than what they are predicting this weekend…. rain :(

    Later,
    Terry

We have a group heading up Friday afternoon, always look forward to the weekend.

I also hope the weather forecast changes, getting real tired of the 30 degree swings we’re going through

I am taking a year off from the Dells. The last two years I havent really enjoyed my time up there, and I have enjoyed not being part of the rush this year so far. Plus, I am planning on going to Rooterpalooza in Waukesha Friday night, and if the forecast changes I may take a ride up to Muscoda Saturday am before my cousins college graduation party that evening.

Message I got from: Wisconsin Dells Visitor & Convention Bureau

Hi Ryan – Yes, we will be closing Lake Ave to allow for two lanes of traffic to the enter the show from 6 am until 9 am on Saturday morning. From what I understand they will be parking one area of the show until it is full and then moving to the next.

Well I hope they start from the rear and move forward, not the brightest bulbs when it comes to parking cars there.

I received a flyer for a car show in Muscoda on Saturday. It’s held in conjunction with the Muscoda Morel Mushroom Festival. The show is from 11a-2p, with trophies and cash prizes. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Special Olympics of Wisconsin. The show is located at the bus parking lot on Main Street. $8 donation to enter a vehicle. Some of the awards include a Best of show car and truck, Best Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Motorcycle, etc. The show also has a muffler wrap competition, 50/50 raffle, prize raffles, and a DJ.

I just thought I would share this info. I’m thinking about taking a ride up there since I’m not attending the Dells, and wont be banging my head (’cause Metal Health will drive you mad) Friday night in Milwaukee.

Like I said last year, it seems there is more information on the fines then there is on the show.

Those fines increase every year.. as long as everyone behaves there shouldn’t be any problems, right? :)

This is from a Pontiac Site about Automotion:

“I’ll be going. not sure what car yet the GTO isn’t running very good, but I’m working on it. The only car show I’ve ever been to that hands out a list of fines when you check in at the hotel! lol I’ll have either a red 70 GTO convert, or a blue 77 Formula.”
