I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the Benefit Event (Show & Shine) at Rev. Jim’s Roadhouse this coming Saturday, May 23rd, from 1PM to 6PM.

This event is a planned fund raiser for Jim Caudle (Muscle Car Performance) with all proceeds going to help with medical expenses and bills as he battles cancer.

There will be some very, very nice silent auction items for you to bid on, donated by the GoodGuys organization, Minnesota Street Rod Association (lodging at the Back to the 50s Show), Frank Schlumpf, and several others.

Come on out, hang out for a bit, and help out …. I hope to see you there……..

Yep, Ill be there. Donated about a dozen artworks for the auction, and a few other things.

It sounds like theres going to be some pretty cool stuff there that day.

I would love to go, but I am working on a 90 (yes 90) hour work week this week and won’t be off until Monday.

I hope there is a good turnout for this event!!!!!
    I’ll be there, too.

Did you know that Frank Schlumpf (Blanchardville Car Show) is also quite an accomplished artist, too! He is bringing a couple of pieces of his work for the silent auction. (Frank is a retired high school Art Teacher).

Frank draws all the pics for the dash plaques and t-shirts for the Blanchardville show. Impressive work over the years!

That was you? I had just gone up to Walmart for some stuff for work. I remember thinking “wow, nice Eclipse”. I wish I had known it was you, I would have stopped.

jonmandude, Its all good, I had just gotten off the phone with AAA to get a flatbed out. Snapped a brand new timing belt and ruined all the head and valve work I did on it over winter. My goal now is to have it done in time for the Swan City Park car show.

    BTW, nice Skyline GTR tails.

Thanks. Only about $5K in them.

Sorry to hear about the belt..ouch. Car looked really REALLY nice even sitting on the side of the road.

Marshall or anyone ~ what is the entry fee for this event?

There was no entry fee for this event. There were donation jars located on the bar, if you wanted to make a donation of any amount.

There were several 50/50 raffles during the day, and the silent auction items were all donated, with all proceeds going to Jim Caudle.

Eclipse_Tuner (Nick) and Belinda Posto deserve a major pat on the back for their hard work at this show, and for their donations of time to make this show a success. When Eclipse_Tuner logs on, he may have an estimate as to how much was raised at this show. The Wisconsin Summer cruisers made a donation of $50, as well as the Badgerland Mustang Club donated $50, and the GoodGuys Rodder’s Rep made a personal donation. GoodGuys also awarded a GoodGuys Rodder’s Rep award at this show.

The GoodGuys organization also made several large donations which were apart of the silent auction (admission tickets and lodging for the show in Joliet). There was Harley Davidson items, DeWalt Tools items, diecast NASCAR cars, and even an autographed Matt Kenseth baseball cap.

The benefit was pretty good. I honestly dont know the total that was raised. The turnout was a little low, but it seemed like those that attended had fun.

There was tons of items on auction, a live band, etc. It was a fun day. Thanks to all that came and donated.

And congrats to Marshall on receiving the Best of Show award.

Glad to hear it went well. The WSC should have money to spare after winning last weekend at the Dells and having no one in the club accept the money.
